(A photographic Essay.)

In late Octobr 2001 I visited the Wetlands nature reserve, it was 6£.50p to get in, whichis expensive if you have a family and are on a low income. The day that I went was a fine October day, and it was packed, there might have been more twitchers than birds. There were times when there was no vacant window seats in the hides. I tried the cafe, but I wasn't going to pay £2.25 for a piece of cake. I don't know why it costs so much to have a drink and a cake at museums and cafe's where there is no competition; well I do - it's because we have a rip off Britain mentality! My advice to those who don't like to be ripped off is, bring a flask, and some cakes. There is plenty to see, 'they' have landscaped it well, and stocked it with plenty of those feathery things.
